Today’s MBA tip on product positioning. Start with writing a positioning
statement before you start on tag line, campaign, go-to-market plan for
your product.
The format of positioning statement is “For (target audience), (brand name)
is the (frame of reference) that delivers (benefit/point of difference)
because only (brand name) is reason to believe).”
[1] It is a one-sentence statement that answers the question, “what does
this product do better than any other one in the world?” In MBA language,
it describes the product’s unique value proposition
Even Lady Gaga has a positioning statement: “For entertainment consumers,
Lady Gaga is the dance music entertainer who delivers a full shock
experience because only Lady Gaga shocks her audience across visual, music
and fashion senses”

Went out to Oakland to see Lisa Loeb in concert. It was a great concert, small venue, and the best part, we found out Lisa Loeb is pregnant too! She’s due in June, so I asked her for her best “Mom advice” (she’s got a 2 year old too). She suggested I join mommy groups and take with open arms, any help that folks, family and friends offer us after little bun arrives :)
We celebrated the end of Beautiful Day, the organization Warren and I have volunteered with for 2 years now. The celebration was for the folks who helped organize the 3,500 volunteers, and that headed up the 20+ different projects we held over the week of April 23-28th. The weather was perfect & gorgeous!! The best part was the dessert…crepes, made on the spot! I had Nutella in mine, yum :)
